What we collect, and why
When you visit the site
Our hosting provider records standard server log data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser identification. This happens on every website and is needed to deliver pages and to detect attacks.
Legal basis: legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention: our hosting provider keeps these logs only for as long as they are needed to operate the site securely and to investigate faults or attacks, and deletes them afterwards. We do not read them for any other purpose and we do not combine them with other data.
When you order
To fulfil an order we process your name, delivery address, email address and the contents of your order. Payment details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach our server.
Legal basis: performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Retention: as long as commercial and tax law requires.
When you write to us
If you email us, we process your message and your address in order to answer it.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
When you give us your email address for harvest news
The form on our site is for one thing: telling you when the next harvest lands. We use your address for that and nothing else, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Legal basis: consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
Fonts
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your IP address is transmitted to Google for that request.
Who else processes your data
- Hostinger — hosting. Servers in the EU.
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — payment processing. Stripe is its own controller for payment data; see Stripe's privacy policy.
- PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. — payment processing, where you choose PayPal at checkout.
- Google Ireland Ltd. — font delivery, as described above.
- Cyprus Post — delivery. They receive your name and delivery address, which is the minimum needed to bring you the parcel.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking of any kind. That is why you were not shown a consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.
If analytics are added later, this page and the banner situation change, and this section must be rewritten.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to have its processing restricted, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to info@matchanella.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Cyprus this is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection. You may also complain to the authority where you live.
Transfers outside the EU
We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area. All of the recipients listed above are established in the EU or the EEA.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top.
